I have a setup with the R10's as my fronts in a small room with the CS1 as the center with a Yamaha rx-v659. Would it be worth it to be step up to the Monitor 30's for the sole purpose of voice/timbre matching? As far as i can tell the R10s and the Monitor 30's have similar specs with only the tweeter being 1/4 of an inch bigger in the 30's. The lower and upper -3dB limit is also slightly different. Thanks.

Do they sound good to you? The only reason I ask, is, I've upgraded my system 3x in two yrs.
I don't know what the r10's sound like, but I do know the monitor 30's are sweet for the money- I've got 4 of the T20EB's- which are the monitor 30 but with Tweeter monicker.
If there's a Tweeter close to you, You can probably pick some up for $130/pr.
Check out their website, look under clearance and see if there are any listed
Again, T20EB is the Tweeter moniker for monito 30's
    Good luck
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

I'm not sure if the monitor 30's would sound better or not. I'm asking because i know the 30's are the recommended fronts to match the CS1 center speaker. The R10's do sound pretty good but im nowhere near an audiophile and wondered if maybe i wasnt listening for something i should be and the 30's should sound better if i had them. I guess ill keep my R10's for now. I could get the 30's and send back if i dont notice any dramatic difference.
