Never heard of them. Started reading the about us page, as soon as they swooned about Jacksonville Florida, and that was where they were headquartered - enough read, not the bank for me.Check your lips at the door woman. I've used Everbank for my one and only checking account for like 4-5 years now, and have been extremely happy with service, interest rates and online banking. I wrote a review of my experience, but won't pimp it here by posting the URL. If you are interested in reading the review, PM me and I'll shoot ya the URL.
But overall, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Everbank.My HT

A friend of mine has been using Schwab for his checking, they give 4% on checking and are actually a name you would recognize rather than some random bank. He's been really happy so far (he's only had it a couple months).If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Yeah there are definitely better rates. My father uses ING for both savings and checking, their checking pays 3.25% APY and is much more well known. I personally just keep most of my money at Emigrant Direct, 4.75% APY savings account with easy access to money and FDIC insured.
