I bought a new amp to put with my Pioneer Elite... The new amp is a Rotel 1095. This is a 200 watt 5 channel amp.. A whoping 1000 watts of power. The Polk SDA2's are really humming right along. So is my CSi5 center channel.

Oh what fun it is in a well powered Polk setup!!!

Kristi

I bought my SDA's brand new and have had them for about 27 years. I put in new tweeters a year or so ago.. Maybe two now.. I would like to rebuild the crossovers. I still have yet to hear a speaker that can match the SDA speakers..

How well do your SDA's match with your CSi5? With the upgraded tweeters I was not sure if the CSi5 or LSiC would be the better way to go.

The CSi5 is wonderful with the SDA series speakers. I think I found that on the Polk site what matched up well. I have had a CSi5 for a couple years and love it. I am thinking about getting a second one and hooking them up together.

Both are women that think you gotta have 200 wpc in their rigs. Separated at birth maybe?

LOL... Well my little Pioneer at 90 watts could not handle the load sometimes.. Especially when I like to play rock. It would clip and then shutdown as I was overdriving the amp. Not good!

    Welcome Kristy.

If you rebuild the crossovers in your 2B's you will be more than happy with the results. Many will recommend Sonicaps.

Yeah.. I have just been enjoying the SDA2's since I replaced the tweeters with the RDO194's. I did finally get a CSi5 center channel and really love that speaker too. My husband has a pair of Kef's that I use for the surround speakers. I am getting ready to order a pair of fxi5's or fxia6's

Congrats on your new amp. There's just no substitute for quality, clean, raw power. I'm sure your SDA2's are thanking you right now.
