Hi,
I think these are Mon 10's. Funny thing Is the size is Different from specs on this site. Specs say 28" H 15" W & 12" D. Mine are 28" H 16"w & 11" D. The seller posted them as large Polk speakers but was unsure of model. I can't find any model #'s or markings. I pulled the crossover out and I could see the Part # on the mids (MW6600X) Date on sp 2/23/84 Date on Crossover 2/10/84. I will hook them up tonight and give them a test Drive. Thanks Rick

Could be the Monitor 10A which falls into that range being that the date on the crossover is 1984 per the Vintage Speakers site. Or, it could be a 1984/85 model 10B if those are SL1000's in there. Not sure what the MW6600X's are unless they were changed out. What model tweeters are in them? Did you pull them, too?Richard? Who's your favorite Little Rascal? Alfalfa? Or is it........................Spanky?.................................Sinner.

They appear to be SL1000's. As per http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38755 the crossovers appear to be the same as the original M10."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Yes these are the SL-1000 Tweets. And both of them are blown. I didn't test the speakers at the guys house because The voice coils moved free and
I thought how could I go wrong for $40. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Rick -

Check the fuses.

Hi jtgranby,
The fuse tested OK. I also cleaned the fuse holder with a small wire brush.
I will pull the speaker out again & test. Thanks. Later Rick -
