Challange From Below

Hi Guys,
Just had to tell you about my downstairs neighbor. I think he got
mad at me yesterday. It all started when I decided to connect my
sub via the line level connections. I had been using the LFE output on the receiver which only turned the sub on when a DVD or multichannel music source is played. The new connection has the sub on all the time the system is on. Anyway the extra deep bass from the sub must have struck a nerve, (all subs fire downward). He wasn't listening to his rap music when I first turned on my system, then all of a sudden he turned his on full blast. I felt the floor vibrate.
Now, maybe it was the beer, or maybe it was the cognac, either way I saw this as a challenge, not as a reminder that someone lives downstairs. I feel ashamed today. I turned the output up on the powered towers, and the 250 watt sub and found about four CD's with that real deep bass and played them back to back.
It took about five minuets of the bass you hear from those cars that you hear a block away, to convince him that I am a fool not to be messed with. He turned his off, I turned mine down and we, I hope will try to live in peace. I'm gonna leave the sub off when I listen to music, but when I get Spiderman I think he'll want
to go visit some friends.
