I have a delema, my receiver is a 7.1 but I can only set up a 5.1 in my room and the surround speakers can only go on the wall behind me, I have no room to put them on the sides, is this really going to make a difference, and should I place the speakers on the wall facing down towards the back of my head.

Any help please

You're OK with the speakers behind you. And there's no need to face the surround speakers down towards the back of your head.

What if the speakers are up high and not at ear level, shouldnt they be facing down toward ear level?
