I just bought Cars and watched it about an hour ago. Of my 35ish HD titles now (BR and HD-DVD) I think I can honestly say that this is the best of them all, especially sound. The sound on this movie is awesome.

I have never seen Cars. My kids and wife saw it in the theater and we actually have the older DVD but I just never got to watching it for some reason.

I give it 5 of 5.

Simply amazing.

Youre late bro, but youre right. The transfer is very well done. Watch "One Man Band" in HD which is included in the extras. You shound enjoy the sound of that also.

I have the SD version and even it looks great on my Panasonic plasma so I can imagine the BR version being awesome. All of the Pixar stuff is very well done as far as video and sound.

I saw this and could barely make it though, very boring. While I'm sure it looks and sounds great it's just a very average, if that, movie. Add list to a list of Pixar movies that fail to impress.

Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

Or Monsters, Inc, arguably my favorite.

Liked pretty much everything Pixar put out.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Saw each one once, that was enough. Monster's was ok, saw it twice. But none of these can even come close to the Toy Story films, Pixar's best bar far. They seem to be going backwards, best films first and each one there after getting worse. I did enjoy A Bug's Life but still, nothing great.

Their new Wall-E film coming looks horrible as well.

Just read the wikipedia article on it and watched a trailer. I'd have to agree. Sounds like this one needs some more "fleshing out" before it's made into a movie. Oh well.
