6 ohm reciever?
I have a JVC receiver that came in a HTIB with it's own speakers but regretfully it's a 6 ohm system with tiny speakers. I now have extra Polk speakers R series speakers (R300, R150, CSR) that I'd like to use with it in a spare room.

It will be fine at normal levels. JVCs will let you know when you are too loud by going into thermal shutdown. If this happens....back down on the volume and make a mental note of the volume level. Your new Rs are actually an easier load for the receiver (8ohms), but their ability to play louder (handling the power better) will have you doing so quickly....enjoy.HT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable
