Since I am in the market for a tube preamp, I have been scouring ebay and CL. I found this guy on ebay. His prices are good and his ebay reviews are good (both as a seller and for the product). Have you heard anything about these preamps?

I'm thinking about just going for it. Around $200 and free shipping. Seems like quality parts, but I don't know...

    Congratulations on the new preamp!

I agree, they look very promising. I'll be very interested to hear your thoughts. I recently bought a used Sound Valves preamp (basically a modified PAS3), but may eventually want to try the same configuration you ordered.

    May I ask the price?

Let us know what you think. I looked at a couple of his pieces as well. Infact recently there was an older version FS locally. I passed on it and recently bought a Dared Sl2000A tube pre.

It would be fun sometime to get a few of these "entry" tube pre's together and do a shootout/comparo. Tube pre's by nature are pretty simple and the Dodd ELP opened my eyes a lot as to what a simple basic tube pre can sound like.

Good luck and be sure to write your impressions
