How does this setup sound?
Speakers are going in family room. Room size is 19' x 21' x 18' high.
Front: Monitor 30's
Center: Monitor CS 1
Back: RC85i
Sub: Either PSW404 or 505
BTW, I'm only getting the monitors because they fit in my entertainment system. The 40's are too deep.

I have a monitor HT setup. Really like it for the price. The 30's are a steal of a deal if you get them at some of the discounted prices. I think I got one set for $120/pr and another for $80/pr. Great deal for decent speakers. The Monitor CS1 should match the setup well. I have the bigger CS2, but probably not needed for your setup.
As far as a sub is concerned, unless you can get one of the PSWs you mentioned above for a great price, you might want to consider some other options for a room of your size. I would keep an eye out for any SVS that fits in your price range as everyone here loves them. Never heard one myself, but the reviews are so good that I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy one.
What electronics do you have?

Thanks Andy. As far as electronics, all I have so far is an Onkyo TX-SR605 and an Xbox 360. Still undecided on the BlueRay -vs- HD DVD stuff. The TV is a Samsung LNT-4661F.

If you have a 360 already, you should be able to get the HD-DVD add-on for a decent price and use that as your player for HD-DVDs. If you have a hundred bucks lying around (or whatever the add-on costs) and a NetFlix membership, I think it's definitely worth it.
I have two HD-DVD players (chose over BR based on price) and get tons of HD-DVDs via netflix. Doesn't cost anything extra to rent them, and they look and sound fantastic. Anyway, good start to your system and ask any questions that might arise.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand

Why not get towers for your fronts? the room size is more the sufficient for towers. other than that, it sounds like a good setup.
