TRi4 vs FXi3 for Rears
First post so be gentle. I'm slowly begining to upgrade my surround system and want to start with upgrading the rear speakers. I want to stay with Polk through the entire system. The TRi4 and FXi3 fit into my budget. Both seem like good choices. The design of the FXi3 scares me a bit since the rears would be placed in the corners of the room behind the sofa, but only at a distance of about 3' from the sofa.
On a side note I had ordered a pair of TRi6's from on call for $199 plus shipping only to be e-mailed back that they were now out of stock. Bummer!
This site has been a wealth of information to me. Thanks for any suggestions.

Are you looking at rear speakers (as in 7.1) or surround speakers (as in 5.1)?
Also, what are you using for mains/center? Amplification?
Anyway, if they are the surrounds in a 5.1 system, I would go with the FXi series,
since these can be set to either bipole or dipole (try both, use whichever setting sounds
best). If they are rear speakers, I would say use the RTi4s.
Just my .02 - and welcome to the Forum; it is a great place to learn .So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?
