I have the harmony 670, and to me its worth every penny ($130). I use it to control activities using my plasma tv, directv w/ tivo rcvr, directv hd dvr rcvr, hd dvd player, and surround rcvr. This model remote is designed for dvr users, but different models are available for other preferences.

I have a harmony 550, and it's ok. It does pretty much everything I want it to do, so I'm happy with that. BUT, I would go up to the most you can spend. Mine was about $80, but there are a few things I don't like.

    1) It's too small. I can wrap my fingers well around it. Why didn't they just make it bigger? It would be much easier to push the buttons blind if they weren't so small.

    2) It glows every time I push a button. Not much to complain about, but it gets anoying when it's late at night, and your scaning channels (blink, blink, blink, blink, blink, blink).

    3) (this one is only for me). The previous channel button is exactly oposite to the last channel on the cable remote. What a pain when I go to the cable remote and hit "favorite" instead of previous. (I'm one of those constant clickers, so I do it all the time).

Other than that, the remote is great. The best thing is that is turns everything on and off with one press of the button. Great for kids and guests.

I posted all of this at harmony's site, but I just wanted to state it hear as well. (because it really bothers be every once and awhile).
