FXi3 placement

hello, just purchased a pair of FXi3 for my HT, in the manual they stated they are numbered either L or R for correct placement, mine are not..they are set in DI-Pole mode being used as side surrounds...are the Drivers suppose to be facing the listening area or away?

    For di-pole, these speakers must be positioned precisely left and right of the listening area with woofers facing forward.

    Forward as in facing the front of the room.

    With the speakers precisely to the left and right of the listening area the drivers are not really pointing at you all.
