speaker placement

Polk SDAs are made to be placed with no toe in and sound great that way.
What (if any) is the best angle for say a pair of Kefs?
Does it matter how far you are sitting away from the speakers?
If this is a stupid question I apologize. Just always had SDAs.
Anyone interested in a pair of SDA-IIs-(3 mids and 2 tweets)

    isosceles triangle is more like it, the distance between the speakers doesn't necessarily need to be equal to the distance from each speaker to the listener, only the speaker distances from listener should be the same.

    Thanks for all the help;what about toe in angle?
    I live in Greenville SC; The SDA-IIs are for sale. I'll put in classifieds when I can. ALso have a hafler DH500 amp for sale.

    try setting them up so the point of the imaginary triangle would converge about 3' behind your seating position....this is a good starting place.

    Thanks for all the advice on speaker placement. I found that using a laser pointer was helpful for triangulation.

    That's the first thing I thought when I started reading this thread. Funny how it started out as one thing and ended up somewhere else...a couple of times.
