Hi Sam, welcome to the madness. We have an entire Home Theater with LSi's and an SVS /plus2 Sub and listen to almost all our music on 25 year old Polk Monitor 10's in a completely different setup (2 channel). I'm not familiar with the Wharfedale's and have never heard them so I can't compare them for you. There are quite a few folks here who have vintage Polks as their mains on their 2 channel systems, and some folks who use ALL vintage polks in their Home Theater setups. Sorry for the ramble, but again welcome aboard, hang out and stay a while...

I use all monitors for my home theater and love it. I'm sure it's no where near as good as an all LSi with an SVS setup, but for the price I paid, I have not a single complaint. Vintage monitors can be had cheap and they make great music and movie theaters. Unfortunately, due to size I did not use them in my 2 channel but what I picked for that I have really enjoyed as well.

Also, Polk customer service can't be beat. They still make replacement parts for the monitor line, not sure on the Wharfdales, but that is a major plus especially if you are a high volume in your face home theater listener.

Joking. Never heard those speakers I can't even pronounce. Welcome to the forum.

I used to own Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 Speakers. They have shoddy construction compare to Polk and an even brighter sound.

I've had vintage Wharfedales (W-25, W-60) and they sound great to my ears. Haven't heard any new Wharfies, but didn't miss them too much once I got my M-10's (A's) many moons ago. My sig shows others as well, but the 10A's are the nicest (IMO)

Sam, Maybe you should post the same question on Wharfedale's forum and see which forum responses you like the best.

It would be nice to know that if you ever have a question about your new speakers that there was a place that you can ask about them.

If you go with Polks, we are always here and waiting for your questions :)

    Hmmm...There's a Wharfedale forum...??
