Locating the fxi3

Any tricks to locating the fxi3s? I'm going to have to put them on stands located extra wide of the center sitting positon just a touch in front of it. Would facing them towards the back of the room be the most ideal direction? The room is an open floorplan with the tv in the corner and the open area is behind the listeners.
