It's an OK deal. Look for them with the Peerless tweeter if you can, really nice sounding monitor.

I just sold a pair in the boston area to capecodder with some really nice stands.......I had been trying to sell them for a while...where were you? :D

How much is the Peerless Tweeter alone if I want to change it?
On weekdays, New York. weekends, Boston. Any trips to Goodwins?

To change the SL2000 to the Peerless you would need to do some crossover modifications. I know for sure resistor values are different, but there could also be inductors differences....the problem is that these speakers are so old that there is little info on them (No schematics for the Peerless Monitor 7's are available).
$100 is a good price if they are in good condition.

    +1 to what Ricardo said.

If you want to move to a peerless you will need to change the crossover.

If you get those 7s definately go for the RD replacement tweeter from polk

Those look like a good bet for $100, especially with the stands. I particularly like that big "old school" center channel speaker shown in the picture.:D

That heater kinda looks like some old Wharfdale, EV , Bozac etc. '60's vintage speaker.
