Polk R50's
I've never heard these before, but I see them coming up for sale a lot recently. Any thoughts on no frills two channel listening? Maybe a small sub thrown into the mix. Specs look good, but I'm not a spec only buyer.

I had them for more than four years in a pretty much H/T-only setup, powered by a Denon 100wpc AVR, and had no complaints with them at all. They were my first set of Polks, and I've pretty much stayed brand-loyal ever since. I still own them, but I now have a pair of RTi10s in their place. I plan on using them in my basement setup, mostly for two-channel.
Given their low prices, I would definitely recommend grabbing a pair; these things are tough to beat, value-wise.
If you can make it to NY for our little post-holiday thing, you can listen to 'em first handSo, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I drive about 650-850 miles a week. Piece of cake. 28th is good here.
Let me know and I extend the invite to my Yankee bretheren to head south in March. Y'all eat grits? -

I have but don't anymore. I think the main ingredient is a BIG can of Taste Bad -

You've obviously ate the wrong kind! Ever had shrimp grits with two eggs over medium with a drop of fresh hollandaise?:) -
I thought the Waffle House had the best kind

Nope. They sell warmed-up spackle. Great for repairing sheetrock, not good for human consumption.
