Has anyone bought a TV from Fry's online?

Looking at some of their TV prices, they are as crazy as some of their speaker prices. Has anyone purchased a TV from them? They normally ship stuff UPS, so I have no idea if it would make it here safely.

    Typically, a flat panel television will be shipped via freight, unless it is 32" or below. The one time I did get a television busted was when it was shipped via UPS. My distributor shipped the next one freight, and it arrived just fine. If you are unsure, just call and ask.

    A $2400 samsung 61" for $1699??? Thats crazy, the cheapest I have seen is $1990. Something must be up with that..

    Almost everything I have bought from Fry's electronics ended up being refurbished. Check the fine print because Fry's sucks. I straight won't buy anything there.

    that's interesting to hear. I've never bought from fry's online, but know in store they are notorious for selling returned/opened mechandise as new. Someone returns something because its defective -- employee boxes it back up and puts its right back on the shelf for the next unsuspecting sap.

    I'll still shop there though because of their prices. :D
