Polk db124 grill

Hi I recently purchased a pair of those grills that come with the ported box with the two dbs in it. I am quite excited that i got the grills, because i have never been able to find them away from that box. The only trouble I have with them is that i cannot figure out how to put the damn things on. I made a custom box for one db124 and the only way I can get grill to stay on is to put all eight screws through the grill and the speaker but then the only thing keeping the subwoofer in would be the friction between the box, sub, and grill; only problem is that I cant seem to trust a little piece of plastic to hold in my speaker. Please can someone shed some light on to my current dilemma. THANKS!
