There are many 3 channel amps, depending on how high end you would like to go. 5 channel amps are more commen and sometimes it is lesser expensive to get a 5 channel and only use 3 of its channels. Check out audiogon.com under multichannel amps as they pop up often.

Agreed. You're better off buying a 5-channel amp.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Anthem makes a nice 3 channel amp, the MCA 30. It's not a bad idea if your surrounds are 8 ohms and your fronts are 4. That way, you can use your AVR to push the surrounds and use it's pre outs and your amp for the front and spend less than you would for a new 5 channel amp of the same power.B&W 804s mains

But usually once you amp the 3 front & see what a difference it makes, you then want to amp the back as well. So it is better to get a 5-7 channel amp & be done with it.
All speakers benefit from more power, including the back ones.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -
I have a B&K Reference 3220 3 channel amp that I am very happy with. At some point I'll be upgrading my rear surround speakers and will probably look for a couple of Outlaw monoblock amps to power them. As venomclan said, Audiogon.com is a great place to look. That's where I found mine.McIntosh MA252 Integrated Amp, LUMIN D2 Network Music Player, Yamaha Aventage RX-A840 receiver, Emotiva XPA Gen3 2 channel amp, Polk LSiM 703 speakers. Oppo UDP-203 Blu-Ray player, Polk LSiM 705 speakers. Polk Signature S20 speakers.

I've had this amp. powering my front 3 for quite a while...good power for the money...usually bring around 500.-600. -
Rotel RB-976. It's 60 WPC in 6 channel mode, but 150 WPC in bridged mode
for three channels. Use only with 8 ohm speakers.
It can be had for much less than some other options.
