SVS is having a cool overstock type sale, and I was wondering which would be better...

2ea. PB-12 Plus

or

1ea. PB-12 Plus/2

I know the Ultimate sub is the new Ultra, but it`s not a down firing sub

I have the Ultra working as 2 ch for now, and a PB-10 as HT, as the wife doesn`t like the "big ugly black thing" in the living room

    I would say dual PB-12 plus's. Not only will it help with a smoother bass response over your entire seating area - (a virtue of dual subs) but they are tuned deeper for a better home theater experience.
    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
    Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)

    Maybe Ed will chime in, but you will get the benefit of deeper tune, more cabinet volume and colocation headroom. In the deeper freqs you'll probably get 2-3dbs, maybe more and the smoother response as noted. When I was running the 20-39+ and DIY Plus, the output was pretty damned amazing.

    I think the two plus`s are the ticket then...!

    dual subs !

    they are small enough to get both in place, as where the plus/2 is alittle bigger
