I've never done it before and have no interest in putting up those kinds of crowds, but if I can find a great deal on the perfect laptop, I'll be very tempted.

i got the day off on friday just to hit the sales. but after thinking about how hectic traffic and other things are gonna be, i've decided to just sleep in. i'm good at finding deals. so there is no deal out there worth waking up and waiting in line and chancing traffic accidents and wasting gas.

...i say this now. but if by chance i find a deal too sweet to pass up, who knows, i may end up camping out.

No way. Car deductable is $1000. Not going to compete with folks using their car as sledge hammers just to save a few hundred bucks at the risk of a $25,000 vehicle.

That was my first and last time I ever attempt to go buy something at the start of black friday. My Staples, which is ALWAYS quiet, had massive lines. People most have flocked in from all over.

Paying the extra $20-$30 for what I wanted to buy in a couple weeks is fine.

So... got to the Circuit City this morning. They had a line of over 2000 people! Not only that, but when they opened the doors at 5, the morons at the front of the line tried to bum rush the store, and the employees had to barricade the doors and call in riot police! What the hell is wrong with people?

Still, a fun experience. It's becoming a tradition for me and I'm half debating opening a coffee stand near our stores next year; we could have made a grand easy from coffee alone.
Lovin that music year after year.

crap am I tired today. I didn't get any sleep. :(

I got to Best Buy @ 1:30am! and there were about 300 people in front of me. They started handing out tickets for items at 3am. I got the laptop I was looking for. It's sweet too. AMD Turion 2gig ram baby. ;)

Oh yeah, it was only 17 freakin' degrees outside too!!:eek::eek:

then once inside, I had to wait in line another 90 minutes to get the dang laptop. the crowds were insane. I'm glad I when thru hell to get it though. I am still drowsy from no sleep all night. But I got me a nice new laptop for $599 :D:D:D

I have no BB or CC in my area, so I took advantage of the Craftsman 19.2 volt cordless drill package for $39.99 at K-mart. Doors opened at 6 am. I got there @ 6:05, and bought the last 4 they had.:)

went to Staples in the afternoon.. nobody in the store. and they were still honoring any early bird specials from this morning as long as it was still in stock.

i picked up a 500Gig ext HD for $79 (with mail in rebates, which I do religiously) :)

I just got home from work. Today actually went pretty fast since it was so busy. Had to work from 4:15am to 10pm. Beer tastes really good after an 18 hour day...
