Anyone have DTS Demo discs??

So christmas is around the corner and i am shopping for my brother. We are both DTS geeks and he has JUST finished his new HT in his home. he has always wanted a good DTS disc to show off the system. can any of you polkies get your hands on any? i am specifically looking for #9. i hear they distribute them free to retailers and dealers but they are freaking $60 on ebay. figured i would check to make sure no one could give me the hookup before i swallowed the cost :)

    that's cool, why doesn't DTS just sell these things? they'd make a killing if they did. Everyone wants to show off their own HT, and these would do the job. It's probably a license agreement or something like that.

    i guess..they should just not limit it to dealers and let us in on the goods..i don't see how that could be anything but good for DTS and the products that are highlighted on the dvd. i'm the type of person that would buy a movie JUST because its in DTS

    DTS 9 is by far the best IMO. Too bad I use mine otherwise I'd hook ya up. I can ask around to see if anyone isn't using theirs but I wouldn't count on it.

    Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.

    Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener.

    Several of us received the DTS demo disc #10 (Alive) at the 2006 Polkfest down at Troy's. It is a pretty good disc as well. There were quite a few floating around....so maybe some one will send you one. I think we had to sign in blood that we wouldn't put it on ebay or whatever. I'm keeping mine.

    I can't stand #10. Doesn't sound as good and the clips they chose were craptastic.

    I've got them all expect #1, it's an audio only disc but damn hard to find.
    If...
    Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.

    Most of the PIXAR movies have a cool DTS demo in the setup menu.
