Its not terrible, but its not the gripping, can't look away political thriller its hyped up to be, the whole movie takes place in two offices and a hill in Afghanistan. I would have to say don't waste the 9 bucks and rent it later.

Awful reviews on RottenTomatoes, and it's been bombing at the box office from what I hear, so I wouldn't be too hopeful.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Maybe Tom's career is starting to slip a little. Redford has been done for quite a while, even as a director/producer. Personally, I'm tired of Hollywood trying to make political statements. They should stick to what they are good at, drug addictions and sex scandals.

It's a bad movie, plain and simple.

I just watched it and thought it was a decent movie. It's thought provoking, that's for sure. And very well written. I enjoyed the exchanges that occurred between the student and the professor, and Tom Cruise was a very convincing as a politician.

Many people simply aren't gonna like it because of its political messages, especially if you're a flag-waving Republican. But, to me, it was really a movie with a deeper message.

I thought Meryl Streep acting was very convincing, witty, and better than Devil wears Prada.

Huh? Half the movies ever made have a political viewpoint.
