Will my center channel match up with these surrounds?

I have a Polk CSR and I'm thinking about ordering two pair of RTi4 for my surrounds. Will these match up ok or will my Polk R300 (fronts) and Polk R150 (rears) match and sound better with them?

Thanks,
Jason

I don't think matching for surrounds really matters unless you listen to multi channel music.

I do listen to music in the 5 speaker stereo though I prefer my system for movies. Will it affect my system that much when it comes to music. I'm uncertain I made sense but I do want these speakers for fronts and also rear surrounds of my 5.1 system but I'm uncertain how they'll match up to my CSR center which I don't mind the sound of at all though I'm sure there are better.

    Thanks,
    Jason

No, those RTi4s will not match the rest that well, but they will be the best speakers in your setup... much better than the current fronts.

If you are determined you want RTi4s, you can try them with and then w/o the CSR using the phantom center setting. You may actually like the new sound better.

I have a similar post about this but I have a few ideas on what to do. Would I be better off getting one pair of RTi4 with at least a CSi3 or if I can splurge for CSi5 would my r150 or r300 suffice as rears?

That would work...upgrade the surrounds when you can afford to.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE
