Total cost was $14....keep that in mind. These are just temp stands until I actually find a company that make something that looks decent.

Plywood, carpet, pvc pipe, spray paint, anti-skid drawer mat, 16 screws and some Super 77 spray glue.

Despite looking like they came out the rearend of a goat, they serve their purpose for now and will hold me over.

They look like crap, dude. Throw 'em out. Burn 'em. Give 'em away. To someone with cats. For scratching posts. Drive over 'em. Just get them outta your house!

Sorry, but I'm wondering what kind of goats hang around your neighborhood for you to make a statement like that! Think carefully: how could that happen? A field full of those, just laying around?! I don't think we have that breed around here!
    Alea jacta est!

I think the design is actually ok. I wouldn't have spray painted carpet though. (they do look kind of crappy). If you just use some MDF, rout a nice edge on all the pieces, wrap the PVC in some aluminum flashing, spend a little time painting, and you have some nice stands for about 20 bucks. (also rout a channel for the speaker wire so it goes through the stand from the bottom).

Yea, I am really not much of a DIY person when it comes to building things I design, I just needed a quick solution till I can find a company that makes something like this which I am pretty sure doesn't exist.

I don't own a router and the only saws I'm actually good with is a sawzall and gasoline cut off saw.....any type of finish work is NOT for me.

My new amp is coming this weekend so that means im setting up my 2ch on my bureau and i just didn't want to put the speakers on the bureau....I assure you these are only temporary. :D

If you did the same thing, but use real wood, stain it, and paint the PVC black, they would look fine.
