face, some people post small thumbnail as link to bigger pictures, is that better than posting the full pictures? running out the door so I'll check your reply later

I've never done that on this forum. I usually use the IMG tags.

You can post an embedded HTML link here, like an "You Tube" video. So I think that would work, interesting just need to tweak that idea around.

BTW you're in the testing area so your post don't count and I'm thinking there's a restriction on pictures under 10 post. Stick around away. ;)

Other then that the System Showcase is offen used for pictures, where it will do just what you wished for.

Welcome tx_polkhead! When you check the bottom left side of the screen, you should see a "Posting Rules" box with a red title bar. Does it say there that "You may post attachments"? If so, you should be able to add attachments to your posts, including pix downloaded from your computer. Just click on the [manage attachments] link below the message typing area. This does not work when using just the "Quick Reply" window: you have to click POST NEW REPLY to see the "Additional Options" area.

kex, this is what the posting rules box says:
    You may post new threads
    You may post replies
    You may post attachments
    You may edit your posts

but my pictures are not showing up, I wonder if it's because of the testing area, or because I have '0' post, I was just testing things out before posting a howdy post in the "vintage' forum. I'll get this squared away soon.

    this is an insert image:

I wish the crossovers in the Monitor 7c were laid out that way, much easier to mod. :D

That is a gorgeous pic! I wish all modern electronics were built that way! We should have a "gorgeous insides" thread somewhere (maybe we do and I just haven't seen it yet).

Glad our new member tx_polkhead figured out the attachments too!

I think you have to have a certain number of posts in order to embed pictures due to spam filters that are in place....
