I need help figuring out if my midrange speaker is blown. I switched it to the other channel and still the same problem-I get little if any bass response out of one speaker but the tweeter seems to be working. Is it a blown midrange or possibly another problem? I need to diagnose this problem before I buy another midrange.

Push lightly on the mid driver, it might be frozen. It is common that the older driver freeze up. In which case you will need a new driver,

    Polk Parts, MW6503.

    Monitor 4's surround
Frankinpolk Center (2 mw6503's with peerless tweeter)

    Jakelm-

Your right-it is froze up-these speakers haven't been used for 15 years and I don't know how they were stored. Looks like I'm looking for a new driver-any ideas? #MW6502

It is actually a 6502. The 6503 is 8ohms. Welcome to club Polk. Call CS, and mention that you are a CP member, and they will ship one out for $48.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben
