Okay, wanting to get some floorstanding speakers for christmas, either the r50's or the Rm's and wondering if paying a little extra money for the RM's would be a worthy enough investment then going with the r50. I found a sell were i could get 2 of the Rm40t for $308.00 or should i stick with Fry's outpost for 2 r50 for $182.00. These both include shipping to. So, what do you think?

If you like the series, consider the RM 8000T which is the model up from the RM 7400T. It is equipped with 4 4.5" drivers, and a one inch tweeter. You can check them out on the Polk site; some were found for sale (new) at Amazon.com for around $360 plus shipping. You might also shop the forum site in case someone has a used pair for sale. I have two sets of the RM 8000Ts and I really like them. Good luck.
