Ok Guys I'm moving soon into a new house. New house means I'm going to start a new 2 channel system. What I want to know is if I decide to go tube preamp with a solid state power amp, Will I get that true tube sound still?

Absolutely. That's the best combination in my travels. I own tube amps but they haven't been in the rotation for over a year. It's probably just laziness but I prefer the sonic reason :)
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Awesome, I want to get some speakers with better lower end (the heresy's I have have little bass). But when I go with less efficient speaker the Sp3 I have has trouble keeping up. What I was thinking of getting for a while now is the sunfire symphonic power amp. Now I just have to find a nice preamp and cdp. Speakers are going to be the onix Strata minis

I have an new Audio Research SP-16 pre-amp on the 'Gon and a AR CD-3 if your interested. Either way, I'm sure you'll figure something out.

Ricardo has the same pre-amp including some stellar tubes available for less, so you can go that route as well. Ricardo is ultra-solid to deal with.

SP3 should do fine with the Mini Strata's.
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D
