NHT Model 1A Bookshelf Speakers. For some strange reason these exist no where on the NHT site under vintage or anything and after asking a few members of the forum they think they are an early version of the 1.3 or 1.5 that NHT currently sells. These speakers have brand new complete(not refoam) replacement woofers that were purchased through Goodwins High End in Waltham, MA.

That being said, here are the specs from the NHT site for the 1.5's:

Model 1 Specifications:
· System Type: 2-way, 10-liter acoustic suspension design, Focused Image Geometry
· Driver Complement: 6.5” long-throw polypropylene woofer, 1” fluid-cooled aluminum dome tweeter
· Crossover: 3.3KHz, 12dB/octave high-pass and low-pass
· Impedance: 8 ohms nominal, 6.2 ohms minimum
· Recommended Amplifier Power: 20W/ch minimum, 150W/ch maximum
· Inputs: 5-way binding posts
· Finish: High Gloss White

I am going to rate these at 8/10 but I'm being very conservative.....there is not a scratch on these with only the slightest wear on the corners. These sound awesome and it was my first experience with NHT speakers, nice quality stuff. These blow my 7's out of the water, hands down.

It's a Model 1 w/ a crossover revision. The rest certainly came from its roots :) Great bookshelf speaker. New woofers? Hell yea.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Guys, just resold these back to myself for a discount. I redid the grills today cause the white grill was irritating me. I think they came out looking nice. I am going to keep them and use them! I like them too much!

Black??!! Damn Bagged, with those pretty white cabinets you could have chosen some REAL cool color combos. Hot pink, chartreuse, yellow, midnight blue, burgundy ;).

Probably a good move to keep em if you like em. That is usually my problem. I buy something at the yard sale cause I know I can sell for more than I paid but then I don't want to get rid of it. Problem I have right now with the Naim preamp and amp I have. I'm not using it and I should sell but its too nice...

I dunno why I chose black to be honest......I think Grabber Green would have been a better color......NOT.

But yea, I figure with the black I can put them on a nice set of black stands and the constrast will look good......maybe.

I dunno, but I am putting my 7's with those nice stands up for sale if you are interested.

Whichever sounds good to you. I didn't use those speakers in a home theater setup. I used them for 2ch. $75 is a steal for those speakers.
