I Am Currently Running Lsi 25's With Lsi Center. Powered By Yamaha Rxv-2600 With Nad T973 7 Chn Amp. My Rears Are High Dollar Bostons ( Don't Know Number). My Problem Is That The Rears Are In 14ft Tall Ceilings. My Lsi's Rock But My Rear Sound Stinks. I Am Still New To This. My Yamaha Pushes At 8 Or 6 And The Lsi's Need 4 Ohms Of Power. I Added The Nad Amp--- Not Much Of A Change. I Had A Yamaha Z-9 And It Rocked But I Returned It(floor Model In Poor Shape)

My Question Is Should I Add Lsi9's For Rears??? Or Just Step Up And Buy A High Dollar Amp Or Maybe A New Yamaha Z-11 Or Onkyo Flagship. Thanks Jason

Hi jparker82, welcome to the forums. I'm not familiar with the Yami stuff but if you're going to add rears, you'll probably do well to get yourself a 5 channel 200wpc+ amp to run all your LSi's. You can also go with LSi-7's in the back, which will leave some extra $$'s for your amp. Not sure what you mean by 'High Dollar Amp', but you could add an Outlaw amp at a reasonable price ($1679.00 delivered for an Outlaw-7500 which will provide you 300wpc @ 4 ohm). Just food for thought but one things for sure; LSi's like power. You'll get some great other feedback here, so welcome and enjoy yourself!

Thanks For The Info. I Was Thinking Of Adding A Krell Tas 7 Channel. Maybe Adding 4 More Speakers. 2 Current Bostons And Two New Lsi-9's. I Am Starting To Hear That I Should Try To Keep All Speakers The Same.????? I Did Not Get Much Of A Diff With The Nad Amp 7 X 140wpc. I Know That I Need 200wpc. The Yamaha Z-9 Was A Beast At 170wpc And They Are Around New Left Over For Under 2000. (org 5500)i Like The Hdmi In My Current Receiver And The Z-9 Does Not Have This And The New Z-11 Is Around 5000. I Know That The Polk Site Says That To Push The Lsi's With A High End Amp To Get Full Sound. It Look Like That You Are Running A Cinenova Grande--- How Is That???
    Thanks Jason
