Hi, I bought a pair of these speakers when I was stationed overseas. It's my understanding that these were never sold in the states. Anyone know anything about them? Should I just take them to a thrift store and dump them? I'd like to unload them, but not sure if there's any demand or if they're worth anything now. I paid about $1,000. They sound good and look good. Don't have pics since they're in my mom's basement 50 miles away.

Wasn't trying to sell them here (unless someone lives in the SW Utah area), I just can't find info on them and was wondering if anyone has. If they're good?

I recently moved from Germany and brought my four JBL LX 800's with me (and my Magnat center/sub). They are amazing speakers and I plan to keep them my entire life. I am a bit of an audiophile and these speakers produce beautiful sounds (With their comp tweeters, 5" mid-range, and 8" subs) these speakers need a good amplifier to be able to handle the immense sound that comes from these beasts. The only downside is that they are 37" tall and about a foot square, and very bass directional. If you have the room and sit right in the middle of the "sweet spot" then you will fall in love like I have. You were right about the price (I paid $600 for each (well, Euros)). But again, I must say, if you have a crappy amp, these guys won't perform at all to their capacity. I also love them for their ability to blend the bass and highs together. Not once have I had the bass overpower the music or movie I'm watching. With these guys you feel the sound and hear the voices, which really works for my cramped apartment. If you have any questions or would like to see some pics, just let me know.
