I've been offered a nice price on a SR6500 set in otherwise great condition except for this:
Will this affect sound or is it OK since the cone of the tweeter isn't harmed? I don't see any rips/tears, it's just dented in. Need some advice
Thanks

IMHO, its poked (not polk'ed ) But thats just from a 'it should not look like that point of view'.
I would imagine the sound would be effected by the dent, although maybe not enough to notice unless a real audiophile. Prob only know nonce you crank em up. Could be worth the chance it they cheap cheap. -
Nevermind
I think he is replacing the tweeter -
First off how do people screw tweeters up like that? He must have stuck his finger in it trying to install it is all I can figure.

Well if the tweeters aren't going to be replaced for some reason, you could still get some through customer service for a reasonable price. I'd be tempted to attach some doubled over tape on the affected areas and try to "pull the dents out" first if they seem to sound OK. -
suck it out with a vac.
