Need suggestions: mounting FXi3 on ceiling

I will be getting the FXi3 soon for my surround. Due to the room layout and prewire location, I have to mount FXi3 to the ceiling. Can FXi3 owners confirm there are threaded holes in the back of FXi3 for wall/ceiling mount purposes? If not, will there be enough space in the back to drill holes for the mounting plate?

I've considered using RTi4 as my surround speakers, but there are no threaded holes and no place to put a mounting plate at the back of this speaker.

I can't answer your question about the FXi3 but a call to customer service might be in order. However if it HAS to go one the ceiling I would look at in ceiling speakers instead. IMO the FXi3 is not designed for the application you are describing.

The back of the FXi3s have a black metal bracket that protruds about a half inch from the back of the speaker casing. On the bracket there are two slotted screw slides. They are wide in the middle and narrow at the top and the bottom. I'm not sure how well they would work for ceiling mounting. Seems like a gravity mounting design for wall mounting use. I'd guess additional alterations would be needed to ceiling mount them.
