Used for approximately four months, it connected my computer's sound card to the back of my pre-amp. I upgraded my computer's sound card and am now using a optical out to a external DAC, so I no longer need this cable.

Please take note, there is a small scratch on one of the terminals. It should in no way affect SQ or structural integrity. It's in the picture below.

I was using the "line out" on my sound card, but I believe the headphone jack would work also. If you're connecting it directly to a amp, I could be careful of your volume settings though.

If you're using a no name or rat shack cable/splitter, yes.

I've used a couple of those Creative USB sound cards...all have worked great...much better then onboard audio ( Laptop or even desktop ) . One thing for sure though...go to soundblaster.com and get the newest drivers available for your OS
