So.. hmmm....

I don’t preorder stuff much on Amazon but I did for like the last Harry Potter bookand it got to me the day it came out. So I ordered Ratatouille like 2 months ago from them which comes out today right???

I got notice that its shipped from Amazon today and will arrive the 16th??? 10 days later?? Hell, I could have driven 2 miles down the road to BB and just bought the damn thing today...

Well.. my fault, I admit it. Won’t make that mistake again.

yeah i stopped doing that a couple years ago. i'd always get my DVD's a couple days after everyone else had raved.. "Oh you gotta see this movie" and i'd have to wait like 3 or 4 days later usually. it blew.. so I don't do that anymore. I just go to BB and pick one up the day of release or at my leisure. :)
    PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

I use Netflix for movies I'm passively interested in seeing but still use BB / Movie Trading for new releases I'm eager to see.

Is Rat worth a rental even if you don't have kids? Wish it was HD-DVD. . . with Casino Royale was HD-DVD. . . wish Cars was HD-DVD. . . need a BR player.

This happened to me with F4, I was to get it 2 weeks after street. I canceled that, and every other item I had on order and went and bought it locally that day and you know, it was $2 less then Amazon.

I don't use Amazon much at all anymore, their customer service is ****.
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

Did you get the preorder special price at least???;)

As a side...John Lassiter said that the BR Disc for Ratatouille is excellent...JL says that the picture quality is equal to the quality Pixar has when they are viewing the movie in house...Good stuff.

It was cheaper in base price but since Amazon is in Wa, I paid tax and shipping so it came out to $29 which is what I could have got it for at CC across the river in OR (2 miles for me). So I even got screwed on the price lol.

I ordered a gift for someone and it was received on Monday Nov 5th. That's a day earlier than the release date. I also got a $1 refund for the lowest price guarantee
    Again YMMV.
Normally if I preorder and I don't see a shipment notification a day or 2 ahead I cancel my order and buy it from local BB or CC.

Don't worry, amazon always puts the estimated times way far out. My stuff usually arrives pretty fast after they ship it.

I got it on Saturday, should be able to watch tonight (we watched Spiderman 3 last night... that movie was a flawless execution of HD).

I got it from Best Buy for $25 plus free movie ticket for upcoming Disney enchanted movie.

Watched it Sat night. This is a good movie and transfer on Blue ray is also very good. There are tons of useful extras including a full sweet of Audio/Video calibration tracks along with detailed instructions. Now I don't have to buy DVE for Blu-ray when it comes out.
