I really have no idea what you just asked (other than would it work). Any chance you could try to rephrase the question?

    Include these specifications...

Are you trying for home theater or 2 channel?
What brand and model of subwoofer?
What brand and model of amplifier?
What brand and model of pre-amp or Reciever?
What do you want it to do that it is not doing?
    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

Ok - a cup of coffee later I will give it a shot.

I think your question is this - (correct me if I am wrong) - You have a DIY (passive) subwoofer you want to power with an external amp and want to know where you hook that amp up to your reciever....

Starting at the reciever (assuming it is an AV reciever with a sub out option) hook an RCA cable from the sub out on the reciver to the input on your amplifier. Hook the speaker output on your amplifier to the inputs on your sub.

The reciever (when the sub is hooked up to the Sub or LFE out RCA jack) will take care of the crossover so don't worry about sending a full range signal to the sub.

    Well - was I close??
