Not many of us buy a lot of new stuff, but this looks like a nice option. 12 months no payments/no interests for outlaw purchases over $1,000.

The economy as a whole is down. Especially big ticket items like furniture, electronics, cars and homes.
Do you hear that buzzing noise?

That's always been there since they started their own card. It's just smart business. I got all of my gear from Tweeter with their card & had a year to pay it off. 12 smaller payments are far easier than one big one. And not having to worry about interest payments is great!

Smart business is right. I would guess they will get quite a draw in new customers with this deal. Like Cfrizz said, it's sometimes easier making 12 small payments than one large sum.

I know you are kidding, but you are very correct. If you need to pay off your audio purchases over time, you can't afford it.

Credit offers like these are banking on the fact that most people wil not pay it off in a year, and they will get interest then, all the way back to the beggining date.

I do no payments/no interest all the time. For me it's not a matter of not having the money for the purchase, but if someone's going to give me an interest free loan, i'll take it.

Bingo! I could have paid the purchase off all at once, but since I didn't have to take such a large amount out of my checking account all at once, & I didn't have to be worried about the interest, why not do it?

I never pay anyone's interest. I pay my credit card off in full each month. There is no harm in this situation if you play it smart.

We have these options in Oz too. But for the unwary if they DO NOT make any payments for the first 12 months then start to pay it off, they get hit with around 27% interest - I pay for everything cash. . .
