Look for anything from New Line in the next few months. They seem to be putting out 7.1 tracks for Pan's Labyrinth and Shoot 'Em Up. They also plan a 6.1 track for Rush Hour 3. 6.1 tracks were also on Crank and the X-Men movies. New Line seems to be the one mastering their movies in 7.1 with any uniformity.

I have it my hands (wont be able to watch it for a few days), SP3 lists itself at 5.1 TrueHD and PCM lossless 5.1. SP2 and SP2.1 says 5.1 True HD.

Support for more than 5.1 is really hit and miss by studio at this point. Studios that want to remaster their 5.1 tracks usually do not add new discrete channels. Some studios such as New Line have been notable exceptions. They did do Lord of the Rings in standard def with a 6.1 DTS track that was pretty outstanding. I'm looking forward to see what New Line will do with future releases including an HD version of LOTR in full 7.1. But those of us on this forum who are set up to enjoy 7.1 are such a small minority at this point. And it shows in the studio support of more than 5.1 channels.

Just watched spiderman 3 on BD and the lossless audio track is simply awesome. There were times I thought my Plus 2s would bottom out with some of the deep bass. Anytime Sandman was on the screen you could expect heavy deep bass. Goblin Jr and Spidey fight scenes also had allot of excellent surround sound effects that would completely go around my room. The PQ on BD is second to none, I highly recommend this one for demo material. I know allot of you guys didnt like it, but IMHO the movie isnt half bad.
