the tall speakers in the back of this photo for this ad look like Polk Model 9's to me. whatcha think??

    Yup, that's what they are.

    Far as the 9's go...the cool factor is VERY high but the sound is mediocre.

    The original Model Nines used no crossover(s) at all!

    The later Model 9A added the Peerless silk dome tweeter (instead of the Motorola piezo) and does have a crossover.

    The little 4" CTS drivers run fullrange.

    I have a pair of 9As and I actually think that they sound pretty good. The little CTS FR drivers are not bad at all.
