Okay, finally had a chance to listen to the Gemme Tanto speaker the other evening.......and in a word WOW!

These things were very impressive to me. I can't believe the immensity of the soundstage that these little speakers produced. My dealer's showroom is very large....in the area of 20x40 and these things filled this entire room. He had them setup as a second system along the long wall and I listened well outside the speakers and they still sounded incredible. He had them at one point about 14 apart with me about 10 feet away and the soundstage still held together. Even with the room being as big as it is I did not crave for bass at all. The bass was very deep without any bloat or boom. To still have satisfiying bass in a room that big is pretty impressive especially given how small these speakers are. Granted they may not be the final answer on bass dynamics but that isn't really a priority to me. I have never heard a speaker totally dissappear as much as these did ...even at low volume. Plus you get the purity and cleanliness of a single driver. All this on a cheap entry level Consonance integrated. I plan on bringing my tube amps there when I bring back some power cords that I am comparing and we'll see how they perform with them.

I preferred these little speakers much more than the pair of Gamut L7 that he has which list for 16K and are highly regarded. The Gemme's made the L7's sound muddy.....wow that is a statement.

Anyway, just thought I would let you know what I thought of them.

Thanks,
Mike
