I would just like to say that this album rocks! Totally blows the cd away. If you can find one I highly recommend it.

    I only have one Talking Heads LP and I can't seem to find others that are decent!!!

    I’ve got More Songs About Buildings and Food on vinyl and remember it sounding pretty good. I don't have any CD's to compare them too.

    I got it from the recent vinyl sales that have been going on here. I think from Russman...?If you see this one again , grab it. It's just an excellent album all around. Talking Heads were brilliant.

    I'll bring my collection to the next meet. I'm pretty sure I have them all, but may have skipped True Stories, their next-to-last.

    One of the very few times I rerouted in mid-drive to my favorite "record store" (remember those?) was when "Once in a Lifetime" came on the car radio almost three decades ago. And the SQ continued to improve with every subsequest release. IMO, the best sounding release of all though was their second live-concert recording, Stop Making Sense. Pretty remarkable...

    And, if you can find a copy of the Stop Making Sense DVD, grab it. It's a visual treat as well as an aural one...

    Thanks for the info, it is very helpful. My son bought me the 180 gm release of "Remain in the Light" for Christmas and the SQ is great.

    I have the VHS and CD copy of Stop Making Sense. The CD SQ is great too. I want the DVD SMS.

    Not vinyl (CD only) but Popular Favorites 1976-1992: Sand in the Vaseline is a very good compilation album. Belive it or not Joe, there are other formats besides vinyl. ;)

    Whenever someone comes to my home for the first time and I get done showing off the vinyl rig, I then play cuts from Sand in the Vas as well as ELO "Out of the World" CD box set.

    Remain in the Light gets my vote for their best album. As for a digital comparison, the Stop Making Sense HDCD is my best sounding CD (at least to my ears).
    I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down.     I can imagine because the plain old redbook CD sounds very, very good.

    I think the uber-high SQ is attributable to David Burns' refectionist streak... One of several of his personality traits contributing to the break up of the band.

    well there you guys go again, showing off all the cool stuff you bought and had in your youth, Long Playing albums and such, of course us poor kids had to settle for
    45's.......just two songs at a time, and then only if we were lucky, such a sad tale.......
