Any solid recommendations?
Roxio Digital Media SE came on the Vaio laptop, and has worked fine until today. It copies fine (or at least appears to), but a simple cd copy won't play on anything in the house. Upon exit, I get a runtime error for a Roxio executable.
ANYWAY - just needing a simple audio cd copy. Whatcha got?
Cheers,
Russ

Yeah, I use Roxio and I'm getting the same error message. I'm using Nero and it works pretty well.
The only package I'd pay money for is Veritas.
I had a copy come with a cd burner, and it was great.
And best of all, it didn't try to take over my damn desktop.
Then it vanished. I suspect the kid down the street.

Another vote for Nero. Used it for years, no real complaints. If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Like others have said here, Nero-Pro the only way to go. Used for years...Be gentle, I'm new to all this...

EAC, exact audio copy will do the job, and it's free. Not as easy to use,
but is the Swiss army knife of audio copying software.
It's free. Can't beat that. If all you're gonna do is audio, this is the one."The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. Yes. But it ain't just point and click. That's what Nero is for.
EAC will do everything, but you have to fuss with it. It has TOO
many options."The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson -

I might play with it some, but I'm sure I won't be able to figure it out.George Grand wrote: »

Any edition from 6 on up should do just fine. Im using 6 ultra editiion with all the updates to it and have zero issues at all. Its all good stuff, I think you buy it at a fairly good price, or you can ask someone here with the latest and have them burn you a copy and shoot to you in the mail.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!
