Oppo and Panamax

I need a new dvd player and I'm interested in Oppo. What's the best model and place to purchase it that you know of? AND... I have a $50 surge protector on my main electronics. Do you think I should invest in a Panamax or similar?

If you're looking for brand new you can go to Oppo's website or Amazon.com.

Is the Oppo Sacd capable, also?

The newer ones are. I just bumped a 970 in the Flea Market that would be a good choice for you if you're looking for SACD

For the money I spent on my home theater system I did invest in a Panamax and got it from an authorized dealer, otherwise they do not honor the warranty.

I'd invest in a Panamax to be on the safe side.
