denon 3802 troubles

so im sitting here watching U-571 and i can't get the receiver to do anything but Dolby pro Logic. right now i have the dvd set to DTS but i can't figure out how to get the receiver to pick it up.

    let me guess... you didn't have a digital cable hooked up from your DVD player to your Denon? :p:p:p

    no i had to switch it to output dts/dobly from my xbox 360 :)
