    Check www.newegg.com
I found a bunch of video cards there for you in the $40 range DVI.
I would pay attention to which version of DirectX they can run.
    Ben
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Thanks Ben. Is the Radeon 7500 alright? I just got a laptop and am going to turn my old desktop into somewhat of an entertainment PC (will just be used as an audio jukebox and occasional web surfing on the wide screen.)

Yea. That's what the DVI is for. I've got a Hitachi 51" HD CRT rear projection. No HDMI.

If you are looking at newegg read the reviews keeping in mind some of the reviewers do not know what they are talking about. Also do a little research with the manufactures product link to see if the possibility of component out is there for receiver, PrePro, projector, and future TV hook ups are available.

I've got a factory overclocked BFG 7600GT 256mb PCI express card. Used it once. Still have the original box, manual, and that stuff. Seems they are going for about $100 new, different brands and non overclocked. I will let this one go for $80 shipped and I will toss in a DVI to component cable if you want it(if you dont want to do DVI in on your TV)

24/7 Free Tech support and lifetime on this card as well.

    PM me.

why are you wanting a PCI card. so you mean pci express. PCI are not the best cards out there. does your mobo have a agp slot or a pci express slot. I would recommend that instead of a PCI

My computer is a few year old. I don't believe that I even have PCI express.

You're either looking at AGP or PCI express for a video card, unless your computer is REALLY OLD!!!

I've got a 4mb pci card laying around somewhere if anyone wants to play pong in monochrome :D

I think I'm going to try one of the $40 Radeon 7500's over the weekend and see how it goes. If it doesn't work great, I'll shoot you a PM.

Guys, keep in mind that computers with integrated video will usually only have PCI slots for expansion. He may very well just have PCI.

Otherwise, the computer would have to be over 8-10 years old not to have AGP.

tell me the dell model number i can tell u if u have an agp slot or not. you defnitnly dont have a pci express slot. you probably have a agp 4x slot. there are not a lot of computers around that dont have agp slots at least.

:)Looks like I have an Nvidia Gforce4 MX 420 in an AGP 4x slot. Guess I should have checked that out first.

Any way for me to get a high def signal to my HDTV with this card? I'm thinking not, but thought I would ask anyway.

Much better. It makes choices much easier, and better perforance.

if your tv has component in with h/v in you could always get a svga to component , but it has to have horizontal, and vertical sync inputs on it as well. The video card will do HD(svga is higher definition than TV HD (I can do 1920x1440 with my monitor). you might need a bios, or driver update to get the right aspect ratio(s) for your TV

I think I have an ASUS Nvidia Geforce 6200 AGP x4 card laying somewhere that does DVI. A good solid 2D card.
