Guitar Hero question

In anticipation for GH3, I purchased GH2 yesterday to get a little practice, and also to have a 2nd guitar for my wife. My question is...does anyone else think the game is next to impossible on any difficulty above 'easy'??? Or do I just really suck a$$? Is it possible to be naturally talented at this game, or does it take tons of practice. I love the game, but find myself lacking some serious skills.

You likely just suck . . . if you;re over 50 its not your fault. You just grew up on ping pong and lawn darts.

34....close enough I guess. Did you move? You lived in Columbus, correct? That's where this old **** lives.

Hahaha that's not old! The real problem is that you have a job and no time to practice 8 hours a day like all the fanboyz at Gamestop.
Yup, used to live in C-bus. I live in Indy now while attending law school. -
I am 37 and love that game. I also had GH1, which I could beat every song on expert (some just barely though)...GH2 upped the difficulty even more..I couldn't get past the 3rd tier on expert before I gave up.
But mastering a song and just barely beating a song are 2 different things..I didn't master too many songs on hard either. To me Medium is almost too easy , while hard might be a little too hard...I wish they would make the transition a little easier between difficulties.
I do play real guitar , but I don't think that really helps too much. You just have to get used to it...I know people that aren't very good at the game too..
If you are having fun, you will get betterPioneer Elite VSX-53, Polk RT800i fronts, Polk CS400i center, FX500i surround, Velodyne sub -
I love this game! I have played them all and beaten them all on medium and then get stuck about 2/3 of the way through the on hard. I am only able to play the first few songs on expert. I have never really spent much time mastering a song. I do BS though some of hard parts, but I get through the songs.
You likely only have 3 fingers. It took me along time to go from 4 fingers to 5 for hard mode.
