It's been raining all day, but right now it's just a peaceful, beautiful day.

    It will be later tonight!
Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

That is a beautiful song. I've heard it by someone, but can't remember the guy's name at the moment. Really liked his voice, though.

I know it's cliche, but I like the Jeff Buckley version best.

And the original is Leonard Cohen, not Wainright or Buckley or any of the dozens of others who have done the song.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Wow, that's a common song? I had NEVER heard it before about 3 weeks ago when my friend shared it with me. The dude singing that version was British, and kinda reminds you of Eric Clapton.

It's been pretty widely covered, that's all.

Wikipedia has a decent list of artists who've done it.

Can someone point me towards it? It's not ringing any bells for me.

Thanks for that list. The second name is the guy I was looking for! John Cale! Had never heard of him before, but really enjoyed his version.
